This buckle in our Zuni Celebration is somewhat of a different style of inlay. The inlay is tinier, more complex. It represents a Shalako figure, which is a bird-like being, a courier from the rain gods important in the Zuni Shalako ceremony. Some have attributed this buckle to Zuni master Frank Vacit. Whoever made it, it is wonderful with its three-dimensional nose and wreath. The round buckle has a 2 1/2" diameter. It is unsigned.
