This lovely wedding vase by the late Susie Youvella from the village of Sichomovi on the Hopi reservation is quite significant to Martha Struever, for Susie Youvella was Marti's first friend at Hopi. Susie Youvella was a wonderful Hopi potter and the granddaughter of Yellow Light, the very first Hopi silversmith. This polychrome vase measures 8" high x 5 1/4" width. It is signed "Susie Youvella Hopi". Quite a beautiful wedding vase, the piece dates circa 1970. It was collected for $1350, but is being offered at a special price quite below that.
