If you're lucky, when you're driving along the road in New Mexico, you might see baby quail running next to their mommy. These precious earrings by Sanford Edaakie capture the New Mexico quail just beautifully. The earrings are just 7/8" x 3/4", but despite the small work surface, Sanford was still able to inlay shell into the silver to create a little quail on each earring. They're hallmarked "SC Edaakie," and they're for pierced ears. Sanford is the son of the renowned Zuni jewelers Dennis and Nancy Edaakie, and he's the brother of Dale Edaakie.
