Ray Lovato of Santo Domingo Pueblo is one of the few remaining artists to handcut and handroll their own natural turquoise in the traditional style. Ray Lovato meticulously created this beautiful 3-strand jocla tab necklace out of fine, natural Sleeping Beauty turquoise. The turquoise beads on both the necklace and the joclas are expertly graduated in size - entirely by hand. The turquoise tabs are rounded, tapered and graduated too - also entirely by hand. They represent corn, a blessing for the Pueblo people. The necklace hangs 14 1/2" long plus an additional 5 3/4" for the joclas. Tabs range in size from 1/2" to 3/4" long. A turquoise tab sewn into the native wrap serves as Ray Lovato's special signature. Part of our Summertime Steals sale.
