This prehistoric Anasazi black on white snowflake jar is extra special because it is pictured in the book "Generations in Clay: Pueblo Pottery of the American Southwest" published in 1980. The piece can be found on page 88, figure 112. The motifs on the jar are described as "interlocked and opposed stepped solids." The vessel dates ca 950-1200AD, and the measurements are 9" x 7 1/2". It was purchased at $2500, and is priced below retail.
