This masterpiece is unlike any we have ever seen before. Dating from the 1920's, this Navajo squash blossom-like necklace is set with large handcut and handshaped natural turquoise hearts - 12 in all graduating in size from top to bottom. Each heart is set inside a silver diamond that is decorated with filing and silver beads. Interestingly, the top left heart (that would hang near your own heart) is a different color - it's a deep greenish turquoise for a very special accent. The hearts hang from hand made silver beads. The center naja pendant is quite unique too, and a departure from the heart theme with its two half moon shaped pieces of larger turquoise, silver beads and five smaller graduated turquoise "feathers." The necklace hangs 15 1/2" in length and the naja measures 3" high x 2 1/8" wide. The necklace is heavy weight, and it is unsigned.
