Here's a lovely old Navajo button. The piece is made of silver with beautiful stamping and repousse. It is set with a round natural turquoise stone in the center. The turquoise is more greenish in color. On the reverse, the button has sew loops as it is meant to be sewn onto one's apparel for decoration. American Indian buttons were not really meant to be functional - they didn't fasten clothes. It is unsigned, of course.
