This is one of the most important hair barrettes that we've seen. Handmade by Norbert Peshlakai, the barrette is entitled "Faces" and was clearly inspired by Pablo Picasso's work. When Norbert was in Chicago, he visited the Art Institute and was quite taken with the sculpture work of Picasso. Occasionally, you will see Picasso's influence in Norbert's work. The piece is silver with overlay and stamping and decorated with one coral cab. The piece measures 2 3/4" x 1 3/8". It is hallmarked on the front with Norbert's stamp. If you don't happen to like the piece as a barrette, it can easily be converted to a pin.
