A polychrome jar by Nampeyo. This lovely jar was painted in dark red and black on yellow walls. Two creatures, possibly mice, and a pair of leaf and bud motifs are on the upper shoulder of the jar. This jar has a real folk art quality to it with the mice in the field and the plants - a design that is not seen often in Nampeyo's work. Old chips on the interior of rim; no restoration. ca 1905-1910. 7 3/8" diameter x 3 1/8" height.
