Here is a rare set of miniature Winnebago baskets. This set has five miniature baskets. Each one is made of natural black ash in splint weave. There are special touches like wooden handles that swivel back and forth on the large picnic, the large gathering and the smaller gathering basket. Also, the picnic basket and the small storage basket have removable lids. What a precious set! These were made by Winnebago craftswoman Joyce Buchanon. They have been in Marti Struever's collection since 1998, but they are probably from the 1960's. The largest basket measures 1" high. 1" depth. 1 1/4" length. (without the handles). The smallest basket measures 11/16" diameter 5/8" height.
