Zuni carver Michael Laweka has created a graceful two-sided carving with this butterfly maiden. She is carved of shell and sits on an onyx base. One side of the maiden is more cream colored and the other side of the maiden is white. Both sides are inlaid with coral and turquoise. The lovely carving measures a very good size - 3 3/4" high x 3 1/2" long. It is signed "M. Laweka, Zuni."
