The pendant on this Mary Tafoya necklace is especially striking to us. It is something about the bold color combination of turquoise, white and black. Mary Tafoya achieved this expert contrast by inlaying turquoise chips and shell swirls with a jet background and a serpentine backing. The 10" long necklace is strung with little hand-rolled beads of shell and stone in shades of brown and black. The piece is signed "MLT" with Mary Tafoya's butterfly hallmark. The pendant alone measures 2" long x 1 1/2" wide. Part of our summertime steals.
