It is a one of a kind purse comprised of over 500 linked elements. Each of the 500 linked pieces is an 8mm square of 24K Gold fused onto a piece of oxidized sterling through an ancient Korean technique called keum-boo. Maria then joined each individual piece by hand via a jump ring to create a continuous mesh. The hinges on the clutch are fabricated out of oxidized sterling and finished with citrine bullet cabechons. It is lined with a dual layer of black buckskin and pink satin - hand-stitched, of course. Both the effort that went into creating this piece and the finished result are absolutely breath taking. It was over one-year in the making. The purse dimensions are 8 1/2" long, 4" high (when suspended), 3" deep (when suspended).
Here is a video of Maria Samora describing her clutch.
