Here is a classic coiled Navajo jar by potter Louise Goodman. The two-handled jar is finished with pinion pitch (the sap of a pinon tree) to make it water tight. It is an earlier piece by Louise Goodman, like those appearing in the book Navajo Pottery Traditions and Innovations by Hartment and Musial. The jar measures 7 1/4" h x 7 1/2". It is signed on the reverse. Over half off in our spring pottery sale.
Sorry, this has sold.
