This spectacular piece of polychrome pottery is by Lisa Holt and Harlan Reano from Cochiti/Santo Domingo. It is a large, elongated vessel that has been hand coiled by Lisa Holt and boldly painted by Harlan Reano. Typical of Harlan's work, he has used native clay for the red and cream color and wild spinach plant for the black. He has even painted in a special hidden hummingbird on the piece. The dynamic vessel measures 17" high x 8.5" wide. It comes on a custom museum quality mount. It is signed "Lisa Holt Cochiti Harlan Reano Santo Domingo NM." Lisa Holt and Harlan Reano are younger stars in the contemporary pottery world having won many prestigeous awards at Santa Fe Indian Market and the Heard Fair.
