This complex jar by Les Namingha is entitled "Summer Solstice." For this piece, Les has used an acrylic paint design in an array of pastel colors that remind him of the colors one sees in a Zuni rain dance -  the checkerboard design band around the middle of the vessel represents the rain. Les has even painted an interesting design on the bottom of the jar where he signed it "Les Namingha." The piece measures 11 1/2" in diameter x 7" high.
