For this remarkable jar, Les Namingha has skillfully merged Pueblo and Aboriginal designs. He has painted the surface in a rich variety of earth colored acrylic depicting the Australian Outback. The vessel is entitled "Boomerang" as reflected in a series of black, crescent forms on the surface. Les says that this dymaic jar is all about movement - from the boomerangs on the top of the jar to the action pattern painted on the bottom of the piece. The jar measures 10" in diameter x 6 1/2" high. The bottom of the jar is signed "Les Namingha Boomerang" amid an array of squiggles.
Here's a special video of Les Namingha telling us about this jar.
