This highly collectible vintage three strand fetish necklace is hand-carved by one of Marti Struever's very favorite fetish carvers, Lavina Tsikewa, daughter of famous carver David Tsikewa. The birds and bears on this necklace are carved with exquisite detail that just bring them to life. Interspersed between the animals on the necklace is fine hand-rolled olivella heishi from Santo Domingo Pueblo. Of particular interest is that this necklace does include coral and turquoise birds, which are considered Lavina's most sought after carvings and not included on all of her necklaces due to higher cost. The necklace closes with silver cones and a hook and eye. It is signed with a little silver tag that says "Lavina". The necklace hangs 14.5"
