Large Nampeyo Bowl with Sikyatki Birds and Wings

X6025
This large polychrome bowl by Nampeyo of Hano features a magnificent design. The piece was created circa 1890, during a time that Nampeyo interpreted pre-Hopi pottery designs into her own distinctive layouts. Specifically, this bowl is painted with 2 swirling sikyatki birds and extensive wings. Unsigned, the bowl is entirely Nampeyo. It will arrive with a custom, museum quality mount. It measures 10 1/2" diameter from the top lug and 3" tall. This is a crowning addition to any Hopi pottery collection, and best of all, it's available at a significant discount in our post Indian-Market sale.
