Our jewelry estate sale has such a varied collection of jewelry including this vintage kachina or katsina ring by noted Navajo silversmith Jerry Roan. The reverse is stamped with the joined intials "JR" for Jerry Roan. It isize 7 3/4, and the figure measures 1 5/8" tall x 11/16" wide. An interesting tidbit about Jerry Roan is that Former Secretary of State, Madeline Albright, has one of his Kachina pins in her jewlery collection, and she's written a book, "Read My Pins" where she discussed how she used her jewelry as a diplomatic weapon. Very cool.
