Here is an interesting swirl necklace by Mary Tafoya. For the pendant, Mary Tafoya has hand-cut and hand-shaped shells and stones including turquoise into swirls. She then arranged the pieces into a design on her signature serpentine base. A layer of jet holds everything together and also provides a contrasting backdrop with the light-colored shell. The pendant hangs on 2 mm rolled turquoise beads. The necklace measures 9 3/4" length. Mary has signed the piece "MLT" with her butterfly hallmark.
