Here is a rare Pueblo buckle of ingot silver with a snake on it. We believe that it is Pueblo rather than Navajo because Navajo people are terribly afraid of snakes and would not want to depict one on jewelry. This early piece has a great deal of stamping, which decorates the snake's body, tail, neck and face. It also has a crude hand-formed prong of silver. It is unsigned, and we're dating it late 1800's or early 20th century. It fits a 1 5/8" belt, and it measures 2 1/8" x 1 3/4".
Sorry, this piece has sold.
