This historic Cochiti pottery bird effigy vessel with handle is in perfect condition with the the same great provenance as our Cochiti bull. Interestingly, the bird is black on white with red eyes and an open mouth. The piece was originally collected in 1900 by a man from Ohio who manufactured bricks. He traveled to the Southwest in 1900, and purchased some Cochiti pieces, which he brought back to Ohio. The pieces were then displayed in the county courthouse in his Ohio hometown. This historic vessel measures 10" long x 4 5/8" tall. It is unsigned, and it is being offered at a very special price that is $550 off its old retail price.
