This Acoma parrot jar is another piece in our featured pottery collection. The wonderful polychrome jar has 17 different birds painted on it in three levels. The top row has three birds, and they are all parrots. The middle row is more parrots while the bottom row is completely different birds. You know it is an exquisite jar when it is pictured in "Generations in Clay: Pueblo Pottery of the American Southwest" - page 45 figure 38. The jar measures a large 11" tall x 12 1/2" diameter. It is priced well below the retail price of $16,000.
