Here is a massive pottery dough bowl by Hilda and Arthur Coriz of Santo Domingo Pueblo. This vessel is a classic polychrome Santo Domingo dough bowl. Truly an eye-dazzling decorator's piece, the bowl is inspired by large pottery bowls made by Pueblo people that they used in order to mix their Pueblo bread dough, which they would then cook in their outdoor hornos (ovens). This piece used to be part of the Richard Howard Collection. It measures 19" in diameter x 12" high. It is signed and is being offered at the very special price of $2000 off the retail. Be sure and look at the historic Santo Domingo dough bowl that we are also offering.
