Here is a beautiful miniature wedding vase by Helen Naha or so called "Feather Woman" because of the feather motif with which she signed her pots. This little piece is signed with the feather hallmark and the size is 4 3/4" in diameter and 4 1/2" high. Many of her pottery designs come from fragments found at Awatovi ruins near Hopi. This little vase follows Helen’s hallmark style, which was finely polished, hand-coiled pottery finished in white slip with black and red decorations. Helen was so good that she would often polish the inside of a piece as well as the outside although we doubt that she was able to polish the inside of this miniature very well.
