Navajo jeweler Harvey Begay was best known for his exquisite contemporary-style silver work. The son of Kenneth Begay, Harvey began working at the famous White Hogan. This sterling silver tufa cast belt buckle set with natural Indian Mountain turquoise is a fine example of just what Harvey Begay could do. It is one of only a few silver cast pieces ever made by Harvey. Purchased in February of 1998, the buckle comes from a private collection. It measures 3 1/4" length x 2 1/4" height and is signed HB .925.
