The Sun Katsina is the most sacred of all Zuni katsinas. As such, it is taboo to depict the whole Sun Katsina, however, the Sun Face appears in many pieces of Zuni inlay jewelry. This sunface pin of mosaic inlay is particularly good. Marti especially likes it because of the way that it observes the four directions and resembles the Zia sun symbol on the state flag of New Mexico. The inlay fits very closely together.
