Ernestine Aguilar Santo Domingo Seed Bowl

M5865

Since we immediately sold the first Ernestine Aguilar Santo Domingo bowl, we've received this one to sell as well. This one was not originally made to be collected. It was made and used by Ernestine Calabaza Aguilar as a seed bowl, so it was used to store seeds. It has a handmade polished redware base with a classic Santo Domingo black on white design painted on the side and inside the rim of the bowl. Notice also the classic Santo Domingo spirit line break in the painting on the bowl's rim. It's being offered at a very special price of only $150 - amazing for an authentic piece of Pueblo culture. The bowl measures 9 1/8" in diameter x 4 1/8" tall. The piece is unsigned, but it was collected directly from the Aguilar family.

Sorry, this piece has sold.
