This early polychrome Zia bird jar is so pretty! It was originally purchased as an 1890's jar, but we believe that it is not quite that old. Most likely, it dates circa 1920's. The 3 color piece is painted with a pair of the classic Zia birds, which are quite different from the parrots painted on Acoma jars. This beauty is in excellent condition except for a very old slight chip on the rim. The dimensions of the large jar are 12" x 9 3/4". It is, of course, unsigned. It was purchased in 1996 for $7500, and it is at the very special price of $5200. .
