This is a fascinating Hopi jar by master potter Dextra Quotskuyva. It is a polychrome vessel with a fine line, migration design. According to Dextra, the lines on this piece represent people traveling all over the earth . . . bird wings are represented in the painted design. The jar dates from the late 1970's, and it is signed "Dextra Quotskuyva" with corn and "Nampeyo." The dimensions are a very good 8 1/4" diameter x 7 3/4" height.
