Here is a handmade stew bowl by Darlene James Nampeyo. The unpainted but polished red pottery bowl is lightly decorated with notches on the rim. It is signed "Darlene Nampeyo" and measures 5 1/4" diameter. As a great-great granddaughter of Nampeyo of Hano, Darlene comes from a long line of exceptional Hopi potters - she learned potting from her aunts Dextra Quotskuyva and Priscilla Namingha along with her grandmother Rachel Namingha.
