An elegant bolo tie by Charlie Bird. Handmade with an oblong panel of fossilized ivory and gold-lip mother-of-pearl inlay. It measures 2 3/8" long x 1 5/8" wide. The tips measure 2 1/2". The reverse has an adjustable clip. Charlie Bird began to do inlay work after a trip to Chaco Canyon where he was inspired by the majestic stonework. He said of that trip, "I couldn't get over the way the stones fit together and made their own mosaic. And then there were openings to all of the rooms that created another pattern." An estate piece, this bolo was originally purchased in 1999 at the Case Trading Post.
