This absolutely elegant bracelet is by Charles Loloma. Charles Loloma called this his "trough" style because the ends of the bracelet are turned up to form a channel or a "trough". The piece is tufa cast of silver, and it has the most beautiful arm extending off the bracelet and holding a turquoise bead. Although unsigned, this piece has an excellent provonance - given as a gift by Charles Loloma to Winfield Parks, a photographer for National Geographic, working at Hopi, who got to know Charles quite well. Charles Loloma gifted this piece in 1967. There is a very similar bracelet in Martha Struever's Loloma book pictured on page 64, figure 40. The bracelet has a 5 1/2" inside circumference. The width across the top without the arm is 3/8" tapering down to smaller terminals. The arm extends out 1". The opening between terminals is 1 1/4".
