The pendant on this wonderful necklace by Mary Tafoya kind of reminds us of butterflies, Mary's hallmark. As usual, for the pendant, Mary Tafoya has hand-cut and hand-shaped mixed shells and stones like spiny oyster and turquoise. She has then arranged her pieces into a design on her signature serpentine base. A layer of jet holds everything together. The pendant hangs from rolled turquoise with special larger hand-rolled barrel beads of turquoise, serpentine, spiny oyster, and other shells that Mary has handcut and shaped. The necklace is 13" long while the pendant measures 1 5/8" wide x 2 1/4" tall. It is signed "MLT" with Mary's butterfly hallmark.
