This pin or pendant is by Zuni jeweler Alice Quam. Alice Quam was just the best jeweler of fine cluster inlay work, and true collectors often seek out Alice's pieces. Alice Quam worked with natural turquoise and coral and everything was done by hand. This piece is a wonderful example of what detailed work she could do with those hands. Here, Alice has used rare deep red coral cabs and set them into a large silver oval. The pendant hangs from a silver chain that is 24" in length. The piece has dual uses as it can also be worn as a pin. The pin/pendant is 2 7/8" long x 2 3/8" wide. It is signed "A.Q." for Alice Quam.
