The face on this 1880's Polacca jar is so visually interesting - it seems to just call out to the viewer. The red rim indicates an earlier piece, and of course, it has the crackled polacca slip. Considering the old age of the vessel, it is in excellent condition. The piece measures 6" diameter x 3 3/4" high. It was purchased in the 1990's for $2800, and is being offered below that retail.
