This rare silver bracelet is truly a collector's piece. It is, in fact, one of the earliest types of American Indian silver bracelets that was made. Dating from 1875 - 1885, this very special bangle is of ingot silver and finished with file or chisel marks - as decorative motifs. Historically, this is the simple sort of decorative detailing American Indian silverworkers of the period could do as they had not learned to make stamps at this time. This bracelet shows considerable wear. It measures 5 1/8" inside circumference with a 1 3/8" opening. It is, of course, unsigned but absolutely authentic.
