In a special brain-storming session between Dale Edaakie and Martha Struever, the idea for this Dale Edaakie Audubon Bird pin set was born. The limited edition, numbered set includes six bird pins by Dale Edaakie inspired by John James Audubon's North American bird watercolors. Dale Edaakie painstaking inlaid shell in silver to create lifelike depictions of the famous Audubon birds. The six birds in the series include a Cedar Wax Wing, Great Horned Owl, Blue Winged Teal, Ivory Billed Woodpecker, Greater Prairie Chicken, and Trumpeter Swan. Each bird in the series is signed and numbered. Dale Edaakie has only created 7 of these sets so far, and he will create no more. They will only be sold through Marti Struever. This particular set of 6 birds is signed "Dale Edaakie" on the reverse of the pins, and it is the 4th numbered set. Each of the birds can also be purchased individually for $1100 each.
